According to an article in ITjungle,
SAP paid $20 million in fines and plead guilty in federal court last week in the criminal case over TomorrowNow’s illegal downloading of support information from Oracle. In exchange for its plea and the fines, the Department of Justice dropped its criminal case against SAP and its now defunct TomorrowNow subsidiary. Oracle’s civil case against SAP is still under appeal.

Upgrade Value Proposition Tool is Now Available [ID 1310896.1]
Every release of Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is accompanied by Upgrade Value Proposition documents. These are useful, but quite lengthy documents that describe all the enhancements of the software for the new release. The last document that came out for release 9.0 is 87 pages long. In a prior article on Cash Basis I covered how it should be setup. Now for a real example. When Standard Vouchers are paid and Cash Basis kicks in, it uses the voucher’s Expense GL coding for the debit, and cash account for the Credit. Similarly in AR: when cash is received, Cash Basis uses the invoice’s Income GL coding for the credit, and cash account for the Debit.
But what will Cash Basis do for non-standard vouchers? For example, if the voucher is created via a 3-way match? Where will the offset to the cash account come from? To find out, I setup a test. Read more…
